Net Neutrality

Net neutrality is the agreement of all internet corporations to have equal internet speed so that the wealthier corporations do not eliminate small corporations, or start monopolies. If net neutrality ceases to exist after the government debates this issue, internet users will be seeing many changes in the way they browse.

The wealthy corporations would pay the FCC more money to have their internet service stream much faster than its opponents, thus making the other internet servers, slower. People who use the faster internets will probably have to pay more to have the faster streaming. This will impact the World Wide Web tremendously.

The FCC controls which internet servers get more or less power. They basically make sure that every internet corporation is getting the same amount of power as everyone else so that it remains neutral. However, if this is eliminated, the FCC will grant more power to internet corporations that pay more, and the less fortunate servers, will cease to exist, thus causing a major monopoly.untitled.png
